I don't think that Ghost Game has potential for second season. Adventure 02 was meh, it was so dependent on original Adventure. Hunters were terrible from the start.
But, some digimon (Espimon, Ryudamon) and some humans (Kotaro, Ruli's friends) have potential to become human-digimon partners.

Please no... This show literally goes NOWHERE. Nothing is happening, it's always "monster of the week" every episode. It got boring around 20-ish episodes. We should get a whole new season instead of a sequel.

The sequel is where the actual story will start, this season is just a set up for it, LOL.

Well I sure have no idea why the Virus Digimon got the crazy designs. I mean look at Guilmon and Lopmon.

After watching this episode... I have a slight feeling that Hokuto might be responsible for a vast of these Digimon attacks, it also shows that Digimons are extremely gullible as it only takes a couple words to turn them into potential threats, despite having "good intentions" or "being curious".

In any case... I think episode was pretty decent and I liked the resolution at the end, Oleamon just wanted interesting flavors and boy... Earth has plenty of those, also, I feel bad for Kotaro... I'm sure he looks fine on the outside, but I guess he's deeply scarred after everything that has happened to him at this point.

HOKUTOOOOOOO! My goodness another one caused by another of Hokuto's adventures in the Digital World. I have never heard of Oleamon before and it turns out like Publimon it's ALSO a brand new Digimon created out of the wet work. What is happening Ghost Game you ran out of frightening Digimon for the horror lore that you are now creating new ones to fill the roster?

It was obvious she was redeemable when Angoramon was able to get a conversation started and even fooled her long enough to get the jump on her. One thing Hiro knows for certain is that his dad is having the time of his life so he's not in any danger but if anything they may as well find some way to safely cross to the Digital World to at least set Hokuto straight or else more of these shenanigans are going to start happening. Wow like THAT would be a hilarious way to end Ghost Game. Still, Hiro is really chill like his dad isn't he? I mean that where Kotaro was nearly eaten and once he was safe Hiro despite calling a full force blast to ignite a gas explosion but was still not going to scorch her to death for it. Then again, hearing it's because of Hokuto again is a huge cooldown.

Anyway, next episode appears to be something to do with memories of a person and a Shadramon.

Kotaro cant catch a break he has been screwed over by digimon so many times, and this man acts like nothing happened after. We need a Kotaro episode just to see how he's actually doing XD

Why does this feels like this should be one of the show's early episodes?

It even feels like the show discovered its show' formulas of Hokuto interacting with Digimon, caused them to misunderstand humans, accidentally causing trouble hiro and co have to stop, mostly using their brains as the digimon is in a higher power scale, leading to the digimon being stopped but now coexisting with humans after the misunderstanding was cleared up

The difference here compared to the early episodes is that it's becoming more apparent a lot of these Digimon may have interacted with Hokuto previously in some form when the three Antylamon outright said it two episodes ago. Before it was more or less speculation although there was the chance of that being the case when it came to DarkLizarmon and Saberdramon.

That and Oleamon is a new Digimon that was created recently like Publimon was. They COULD have powered through but Oleamon wasn't THAT strong of an ultimate and apparently was quite gullible to where Angoramon succeeded in using what he knows about her to get the upperhand.

Would you prefer late game episodes to be as dark as that Oboromon episode where Digimon the team encounters from then on are all unreasonable psychos and stakes get higher? I will say that route would get them no closer to peaceful relations between humans and Digimon if it doesn't kill that entirely.

They did that in early episodes. Clockmon, Mummymon, Pumpmon, Majiramon, Sirenmon, etc.

Clockmon was a madman at first and wasn't misunderstanding anything but it was being saved by Hiro and Gammamon that lead him to take a new leaf.

They must've had a different artist for this one. All anime do this even on the same season too. It could also be a different (animation) director or producer. Pokemon Sun and Moon had a director who was friends in the industry that animated for One Punch Man and other popular shows so the episodes has different styles.
